It might be out of budget but I can highly recommend a .strandberg* Boden Original. Just try one!

Thanks for the tip! I've been wanting to try headless guitars for some time now, but they're pretty low in my list of priorities...

I know I’m biased but for me the ergonomics far outweigh anything else (not literally!). But I know there are lots of fantastic headed guitars out their. I played some Mayones that sound terrific and play beautifully. Not my thing, but fanned frets are so logical and easy to play.
For venues, I can recommend the Epson Guitarguitar. No I don’t work there!

These guitars are awesome. I would love one. My first home build used gearless tuners (albeit on a conventional headstock) and I swear by them. They give tremendous tuning accuracy. Fan frets are great. My grandson bought a 7 string fan fret guitar and I was amazed at how natural it felt to play.

Nice tuners! What brand are they?

They are Steinberger, but unfortunately they have been discontinued.

Oh yes, I’ve heard they are very good. Oh well!
