edited February 2020 in Used Guitar Gear For Sale
This guitar is a copy of a Gibson ES-165. I bought it new but damaged from Richard's Guitars in June 2011. The story of its purchase and the reason for my selling it are in the topic My guitar history.

It has Richard's amazing setup, with a lovely, silky smooth low action - I can just sit for hour after hour with this guitar in my hands. On so many occasions, at the end of a gig, someone will come up and comment on its lovely sound, usually played through my Fender valve amp.

As this is the only one of the 7 guitars I will be selling that I bought from Richard's Guitars I thought I would mention it to all here to give you a head start. I have scheduled an ebay auction that will start on 29th June and finish on Sunday 9th July at 5.45pm. If anyone is interested in this guitar you have until then to make me an offer that I cannot refuse (probably around £170) or compete with everyone else in the ebay auction that will start at 1p.

Should anyone be interested, I am coming to England for most of July through Dover and will be based in Chalfont St. Peter but also travelling to Church Stretton, Sheffield, London, so collection or maybe even delivery could be possible.

Here are the photos that were taken this afternoon and will appear on the ebay advert:

That looks wonderful, I wish i could justify another guitar. Good luck with the sale.

That's a wonderful bargain for someone Lester! I was tempted, but like ESBlonde, I'm afraid I just have too many guitars already, and can't justify it. You will surely find an eager buyer with a friendly price like that, and the best of luck finding it a new home. :)

    Must...look...away....

Jedi mind trick: This is not the guitar you are looking for.

Perhaps I can interest you in something a little more ... well, you know ... tempting!

Why do we advertise guitars for sale to other guitarists, the people who already have plenty?

It's because it's only guitarists who suffer from that terrible complaint of GAS for which there is no known cure.

That's a really nice 175 style jazz guitar, and I love the plush pink lined case, for silly money - someone has to buy that.

I have to admit to being very tempted myself, I could probably arrange to meet Lester in Sheffield, and then I'd just have to find a way of sneaking the guitar into the house... :D

I heard of a chap who would leave the house with an empty case and return with it full. Mrs Sneaky had no idea how many guitars he had!!

Or leave in in the office for a few weeks/months then say 'Oh that old thing, had it ages'. Or 'I'm doing some work on it for a freind, it needs a fret dress'. Not that I've contemplated buying it, oh no not me, no sir, never crossed my mind.

I like your style, Es lol. Trouble is I couldn't not admit to it! lol it's good to joke about it tho. And thankfully my wife is really great about all my purchases.

Yes NP my good lady is very supportive of my hobby. I even took her along to hold the cash when I bought the last telecaster in a private sale and she came with me looking at New Martins a year or two back when i contemplated buying one, so she well knows the score. I like you am blessed with a good woman.

Just to say that a forummer is interested in the guitar. I am just waiting for the deposit we agreed. Edit: now paid.

Behind him is someone who is waiting for Richard to approve his registration to the forum. He has contacted me via YouTube and is 2nd in the queue.
