Embedding pictures

As you can see above, we can embed pictures in an opening post, ie. the first post in a new topic. However, when editing posts imported from the old forum I notice that embedded pictures will not display in opening posts but they will in subsequent posts. If I preview the post (at the bottom when editing, next to save and cancel) it displays the images but when the post is saved they then do not show.
Richard, I don't know whether your amazing programmer can sort this out.
