Visually it looks quite good. Some of us are going to have to change things like signatures where they don't work with the new colour scheme, but that's a minor issue.
Like most things it'll take a bit of getting used to if things have moved around a bit - we're all creatures of habit!
Edit: Actually, just noticed the buttons for editing etc (bottom right of each post) don't look too crisp with the new scheme, so you may need to play with the fill and line settings of those so they don't look blurred with the black outlines against the grey.
Liking the new look site Richard, very cool - will take just a little getting used to, but I do agree it was time for a change. I find it clear to look at, but also not straining on the eyes. I am missing the link to your shop site at the mo though - perhaps I've just not found where that is yet...
Another benefit I've realised. At first glance it looks a lot less like a forum! Why is that a benefit? Means I don't have to be quite so furtive when sneaking a peek at work!
One very minor criticism. The Alerts button/indicator doesn't show up as clearly against the dark background as it did against the light. Possibly a lighter colour would be more evident. A light green perhaps?

Hi Richard
Looks great, more Funky than Rock & Roll
The previous look was very calming but I don't know- I just got sick of looking at it. Bland....
So now I am hitting 42 I thought I would have a mid life crisis and get funky!
I really love it.

Found it! - link to the shop site is at the bottom of the page now, so a bit of scrolling down needed.
Well its nice to know you use it!!
Thank you!
Hey cool Richard, I like it. It's much easier of the eyes too.

I like the new look. It's much easier to see and read.
Looks good. Take a bit of getting used to but nice and clear. I assume the functionality is the same.
All the same -just a new vibe!
Yeah - got my vote too.
Like the others, just getting familiarised with the navigation, but the overall look is very classy

Also, on my browser (Opera 12), Each time I scroll down, the page goes white, then the background loads.
Opera 12?
I find the new look makes reply with quote very difficult to follow.
Also, using Bold has little appreciable effect.
Now I'm more familiar with it and where to find things, love it, Richard!
It's visual, some will hate it, i like it.
I like it also, but agree with Jocko that the "quoted text" box could be better differentiated.
