Richard. Is it possible to move the pop up "Chat For Advice & Stock Availability" to the RH side of the screen instead of the bottom. It prevents me from viewing a series of images as every time I try to click for the next image, all I get is the pop up. I have to press ESC, come back out, select the post again and then pick the next image. I know this is an issue for others. I use a laptop.

I get the same issue on my desktop PC.
Jocko and Mark, yes it is a bit of a problem. The reason for it is because there is a transparent box, (png), that is the width of the chat box, which includes the height of Richards photo too.
There are three possible options:
1) The 'png' box, ie: transparent surround that contains Richard's photo can be turned off. If you "mouse over" his photo you'll see an 'X' to the top right? click it and that transparent box goes. Now it's the height of the black chat box only.
2) Scroll down the page so that the image is above Richards photo and the 'png' transparent box, and then try clicking on the image/link.
3) Pulling out your browser to better fit your screen. This should shift it further to the right - perhaps you can see the images you're trying to access better with any of the above?
Switching off Richards photo allows me to flip through the images, so no loss there.
My browser already opens with the screen a full page width. Scrolling the page does not scroll an open image on my system.

Jocko Hi, that's right scrolling when an image is already open does not affect the image itself, apologies it's me misreading your message. I now see that you're referring to the 'forward/backward' clicks for the next/the last image?
Yes I have to agree that the left hand side of the page would be a great place for the 'chat' pop-up.
Can you tell me Jocko exactly where you are on the Forum when looking at a series of images'? Thanks.
There are a couple of posts here with a string of attachments.

With Richard's photo switched off it works fine. Only problem is every time you come back in he's there again!
OK, Jocko yeh I've seen the thread and the series. I have a large screen, so I can pull 'down' the browser window, after having clicked the Richard pic', and I can both see and operate the slide show indicators.
Tricky if your browser is at it's maximum height though!
Jocko and Mark Hi,
I have a simple solution for those times when a picture is larger and the "close or navigate slideshow controls" are hidden by the "Chat For Advice & Stock Availability" pop-up window.
Press and hold Ctrl, then at the same time press the 'minus' key in the calculator part of your keyboard. This reduces the overall size of the contents in your browser. This should then place the close/image navigator away from the pop-up.
To increase your browser back to normal size when finished, simply press and hold Ctrl and at the same time press the 'plus' key in the calculator.
(For Apple Mac press and hold the 'Apple' key and the minus/plus keys.)
(If the image is extra large, then simply repeat the Ctrl/minus. Also if the image is then too small, reverse the sizing by holding down Ctrl and pressing the plus key in the calculator.)
That box just needs shrinking. It's too obtrusive right now and doesn't need to be that size.
Edit: and there's a typo in the copy in it.

Hi The23rdman,
The difficulty, as I understand it, is that these things, (size, height and width), are often written and fixed into the structure of the original coding of the widget/text box/pop-up. As it's powered by another company and not by the provider of the Forum, I suspect that it's not necessarily equipped with 'user' options to change size or placement.
I've used it often and It's very manageable, where it smaller however, I think that when typing, it would be less user friendly. (Having said that I perfectly understand your thoughts on its size but unfortunately these things aren't always changeable.)
Same goes with the photo window/pop-out, where the navigation controls are often under this same chat box. I have looked through the 'user' options on photos, but the position of the close/navigation, is not user adjustable. I suspect that there is generally no need as other sites don't necessarily have a pop-up box to the bottom right hand corner.
Finally, the best and optimal position for a 'Chat' style pop-up is always in the right hand bottom corner by default, as being the best place for viewing/using.
Hope that helps.

Yes, I can see that there may be limitation in the original editable code. So it goes.
