    I've tried two - my opinions :

Cedar model - nice rich warm tone, lacking volume and "cut" among other guitars.

Spruce model - mature, rich tone, lacking volume and no "punch" for a dreadnought.

Play them before you commit. A Garrison may suit your style to a T or it may not. They are certainly well made and the build quality is high, as is the quality of the woods used.

They are superb guitars! Highly recommended. Call us and ask for Martin if you would like to know more (0870 4460776). ;\)

For what it's worth (and it's probably not a lot \:\) ) I have one and love it. Mine's the G-10, though, which has been discontinued. The main bit's made of birch, which I understand they had trouble sourcing.

Because of the unusual structure, they're pretty heavy, but I like the solid feel.
