What are my other options?

Yeah, I know, wrong forum.....but I feared no-one would ever look at it down there!

So......I know about the tanglewood electro-acoustic bass....

What are my other options? Cheap as possible....it's only for mucking around on so I don't want to spend much cash at all!

I've been told Vintage do one? Is this right? Regent?

I would go used....but there's next to nothing out there at the moment....

Many thanks guys,
LooseMoose

Cool.....have a good time at the NEC!

I was really looking forward to going, but the company I work for are having a holiday ban between now and christmas! B(*^rds!

Still, can't afford to go spending money too much anyway.....it probably would've landed me in much trouble!

Actually played some guitar today, 1st time in a fortnight....felt good!

well, the inevitable question...why? why not muck about on a Squier/ yamaha/ washburn and a Bassman 25 instead? Acoustic basses just don't.

Well...mainly because I will play in loads of places without access to electricity.....sounds daft I know!

I know I want an acoustic bass, just don't know how cheap they get....I want it mostly for acoustic jams in fields and on hills (I'm an old hippie at heart!)

    OK, James. Your choice.

The irony is that most acoustic basses sound better amped up....

    Hehehe.....said with gritted teeth!

I agree they have a pretty stinky tone....but I'm not that bothered as I'm only a hack bass player....a guitarist at heart!
